- Richard7Petty Officer 1st ClassHi David, just came across your model of the Waverley & I just wanted to congratulate you on a first class model boat! The detail is fantastic, its a truly wonderful model. It reminds me of a trip we did a couple of years ago on the Waverley from Tower Bridge - Southend Pier - Whitstable Harbour and back, spent a lot of time down in the Engine room, it brought back many memories when I was about 6 years old when my Grandad took me on a day trip on the Waverley.....
All the best

Took time out from my new build to test float the barge I am building for my push boat to give it a long awaited float test for leaks and to mark the waterline. First decent day this winter!

Pawtucket YTM 359
This is the Dumas US Army tug kit showing the two hull halves being glued together, I hope to modify the model to replicate the tug I was Petty Officer in Charge of while in the Navy!

USS Chesty B Puller
USS Chesty B Puller, I was a marine, 63 inches long, prebuilt by Aquacraft, engines installed, but no radio, batteries or speed control. Looks great in water. preforms like a real one, especially in still water, but we don't have much of that in Kansas.

This is a vessel that I'm building from scratch. To achieve accuracy I will be using a Tamiha 1/35 scale kit and scaling that kit up to 1/9th scale for the vessel I am building. it will measure up to almost 1 metre in length.
